Heidi Klum is a German actress born on the 1st day of June, 1973. Erna Klum was her hairdresser's mom. Gunther Klim, her father was the director of a cosmetics company. Heidi's father had earlier been director of production at the perfume firm 4711. Her home was in her home town that is Bergisch Gladbach a city of approximately 100,000 inhabitants just 6 miles from Cologne. Her past life was as a German-American fashion model who now performs as a host on TV as well as a fashion producer. Karin Klum's friend, who was Klum's (18-year-old) student, encouraged Klum to participate in the German television talent show known as Model 92. The German women's magazine Petra supported the show as part of Thomas Gottschalk's talk show. Klum was competing against over thousands of contestants from across Germany and Europe until she became one of three semifinalists. In April of 1992, she was awarded the $300,000.00 the top prize for modeling.
