Her work as a reporter was for The Keith Olbermann Evening News. Flanagan was a reporter from 2000 to 2006 working for ESPN. She covered for ESPN from the stands of college football games from 2000 until 2006. She reported on all of the College World Series as well as the Women's tennis championships of the Tennis Association NCAA Basketball, Men's College Basketball, and the NCAA Women's event.
